Thanksgiving dinner
This Thanksgiving we stayed at home and had a dinner just with ourselves. We made the whole shebang. A turkey, mashed potatoes, candied yams, stuffing, rolls, and cheesecake. It's been nice to have a few Thanksgivings with just the two of us but I am excited to move to Washington so we can spend time with family on the holidays.

French dip and Chocolate mousse cake
I got the french dip and chocolate mousse crunch cake recipe from our best bites cookbook. Okay the french dip was amazing! There was a little bit too much grease in the dip but still so good! I loved the mousse cake! I liked it better the first day because all the crunch from the toffee was there but Jordan liked it better the next day when some of the crunch had seeped into the mousse more. At any rate, really really delicious!

Halloween gifts
I saw a post on pinterest for really cute Halloween treat bags. I looked to see how much they cost and you got 6 of them for $10. I thought I could totally make them, so I totally made them! I had all the cardstock so I just had to get the googly eyes and candy bags. They turned out really well. I made the pumpkins for the younger nieces. The Frankenstein, Bat and Witch for my older sister's kids. For the parents I made bat candy wrappers.

Successful shopping trip!
I got a killer deal today thanks to Freebies2deals.com! I had received 2 free 12.6 oz Pantene shampoo or conditioner coupons in the mail. Then we had a $7 off NatureMade coupon and at Walgreens the vitamins were buy one get one free. Also Walgreens advertised a 5 cup Brita pitcher for $10. The Walgreens manager said they never had a 5 cup pitcher and would sell us the 6 cup pitcher (normally $23) for $10 and we had a $5off coupon plus there is a $10 rebate that I am going to mail off. In total we spent $8.01!!!! Then I will get a $10 rebate! Thank you freebies2deals.com!

First real sewing project
I wanted to make Jordan some pj bottoms. We went to Joann and he got to pick out his fabric and he chose Captain America! I got the pattern at Hobby Lobby for $.99! Sweet deal. Since this was my first sewing project in a long time it took a while to complete even though it was supposed to be an easy pattern! I added a real drawstring waistband rather than a sewed on one. I think they turned out great! He likes them too. He is so handsome!
He is going to kill me for putting this picture up but he looks so hot!
