We had a non-stress test and ultrasound on friday to make sure Baby H is doing alright. In the ultrasound they were checking to make sure her amniotic fluids were good and to try to measure her. The ultrasound tech wasn't really able to accurately measure because she was so cramped in me. The fluids were good too. For the non-stress test, I had to sit in a comfy chair and have the belts around my stomach to monitor her heartbeat and if I had any contractions. Plus I also had to push a button if I felt her kick.
During the first 15-20 minutes baby H wasn't moving around so they did a buzzer thing. They let me feel first to make me feel more comfortable about letting them do it to the baby. It was a little shocker/vibrating thing. It didn't hurt but it sure woke her up! She moved around a lot more after that which is part of what they are looking for. They check her movement and heart rate to make sure she is still okay because it was past my due date.
We have another one scheduled for Monday/Tuesday if she hasn't come. If she hasn't come by then we are going to have to talk about inducing. I don't want to do that so I hope she comes soon.
